First Peoples Group is the most respected Indigenous-advisory firm in Canada. We are unique in our leadership and approach.

Who we are

Indigenous women-led.
Committed to meaningful change.

Proudly spearheaded by First Nations, Inuit and Métis women leaders in their fields, First Peoples Group is the most respected Indigenous advocacy firm in Canada.  Our leadership is rooted deep in the traditional knowledge of First Nations, Inuit and Metis with an approach that fosters lasting relationships and impact.  Led by some of the most respected women in Canada, we honour the wisdom of matriarchs over the centuries in our respective cultures, and look to the  influential roles that Indigenous women occupy today in shaping our communities and collective futures.

Guided by respected Elders, we ensure our approach is rooted in time-honoured practices and the holistic worldview of our Nations. While women lead our group, we recognize the vital role of Indigenous men in supporting our shared vision. Together, our diverse team of leaders and advisors brings unparalleled knowledge and experience, setting us apart as a reflection of the strength, resilience, and diversity of our peoples.

Indigenous Leadership with Authenticity, Integrity, Transparency and Trust

First Peoples Group is proudly 100% owned, staffed, operated, and guided by Indigenous leaders from First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. No other consulting firm can claim this level of authentic leadership and  the integrity of cultural representation. We are deeply committed to the principles of sovereignty, self-determination, and the well-being of our communities. Honouring the wisdom of our Ancestors, we embed our cultural values into every aspect of our work—from the services we provide to the way we engage with clients and partners. Championed by Indigenous men leaders who are committed to reconciliation and re-confederation, we collaborate on organizational metamorphosis. We are deeply committed and pledge to generational transformation for self-determination and environmental health.

Honouring Matrilineal Traditions Based On Ancestral Knowledge

Our organization is proudly led by Indigenous women, honouring matrilineal traditions and the influential role women have played in shaping our communities, supported by the vital role of Indigenous men in supporting our shared vision. Guided by respected Elders, we ensure our approach is rooted in time-honoured practices and the holistic worldview of our Nations. Together, our diverse team of leaders and advisors brings unparalleled knowledge and experience, setting us apart as a reflection of the strength, resilience, and diversity of our people.

We are witnesses to the resurgence of First Nations, Inuit and Metis cultures and spirituality in Canada. Our work is guided in ceremonies by spiritual connection to the Ancestors and to the Higher Being for truth and kindness.  At FPG, we assess our work with our clients to ensure each project can go beyond symbolic and put in place substantive ‘goalposts’ to make room for system and systemic change. And we do this with Spirit; the critical piece of what we call the four S’s. We are on healing pathways that strengthen team members individually and our firm collectively.
